Be the change you want to see in the world

A guy today at ward prayer flipped the ward off. Not in a malicious way or anything. It was a get to know you spotlight, and an interesting thing about him was he cut off the tip of his finger. It happened to be his middle finger, so out of the blue, he showed us and ended up flipping us all off. He just did it so quickly, and didn't think anything of it...I thought it was freakin' hilarious.

At church today in my home ward, I held our friend's little 4-month-old in Relief Society. That girl is SO adorable. She is the cutest baby I've ever seen. Anyways, I was holding her while we sang our hymn at the beginning, and she started just gurgling and cooing and making all sorts of cute noises. She wouldn't stop, either! The entire time the song was going, she was doing it, and it was so hilarious! My mom and I were just looking at her and laughing, because she started making these like, growling noises as well. My mom thinks she was trying to sing because everybody else was. Haha, she's so dang cute.

I might have reached a state of contentment this week, and I'm still pretty content with life. I'm just taking it as it comes right now. Although I did hit that, though, I would like to take a vacation and just not have to think about things for a couple weeks. Going to Hawaii would be freakin' awesome. Just sitting on the beach...relaxing, not having to worry about things for a while. Are you allowed to have a fantasy like then when you just claimed you were content with life? Haha, I don't know the protocol, I guess.

So...another day of school tomorrow. My goal: make a difference somehow...even if it's in a small way. I know this girl who is in China right now, and she's over there teaching kids English or something, and I think that's so cool. She's off on an adventure right now, and experiencing way cool new things. But, I realized, I can totally experience cool new things here, too (although it is Provo, and my "cool new things" might be on a little bit of a different level). Even a little difference can mean the world to someone. :)
