Optional Story

I'm going to tell you a hypothetical story about two possibly non-fictional people. One's name is Evelyn Vonschleependorf and the other's name is Gary.

We open our story with Evelyn and Gary at a movie theater in the town of Cincinnati. There was some hard core tension between the two of them as they watched Tom Cruise look like a Nazi pirate. Evelyn knew that Gary liked her....after four years, apparently there was still something there and she was completely conflicted. Not that there was another guy or anything; she just didn't know what was going to happen with everything because of a two-year stint in the Navy that he was leaving for the next Wednesday. He ends up grabbing her hand, and even then, she couldn't help but wonder, "What the...?"

Conflicting feelings, indeed.

As Evelyn and Gary went back to her house, the feelings that had been there 4 years ago and all the conflicting feelings she'd had that entire week since he had come back into her life started to tilt towards one side. Evelyn was falling for Gary. Again.

They watched another Tom Cruise movie, and as she walked him through her front room to her door, she realized she couldn't get a kiss there. Her poker buddies were in the other room, and they would mercilessly laugh at her! Awkward. After determining that she was going to visit him the next day before she didn't see him again for two years, he looked at her and paused for a split-second, and then walked out the door.

Evelyn walked back in her kitchen where her poker buddies were standing, anxiously awaiting.

"What are you DOING!" they screamed at her. "Go back out there!"

Something within her began to snap. "Well, what do you want me to do?! Just run out there and kiss the heck out of him?!"

"YES!"

*snap*

Before Evelyn knew it, she was running through her front room and opening the door while her best poker buddy, Frank, pushed her through. She stood on her front porch like a deer in the headlights as Gary looked up right before putting the key in the door of his car.

Evelyn, being the awkward and inexperienced person that she is, just started sheepishly walking down the driveway, not entirely sure what to do from that point. Gary laughed a little at her and asked, "What's going on?"

Psh. As if you don't know, she thought.

"Well...." Evelyn went into some random excuse as to why she was out there. She decided she'd give him a hug. They talked a little, she made small talk and somehow brought her mother and her friend Frank into the conversation. Only Evelyn. After a few minutes, she just kind of stood there, still hugging him, and thought, Oh crap. Now what.

And then he kissed her. Evelyn didn't remember a whole lot after that. She sort of floated up her lawn and went back in her house only to see Frank standing in the doorway of her kitchen with a big smile on his face. Obviously he'd been spying. Really, none of it could have been better planned for a first kiss. Definitely screamed of Evelyn.

Good story, huh! Thinking of getting it published....

Hahahahahaha. Made me laugh can you tell? You missed the part out where midget man, flossy, mopsy and Ma were spying too.:) only Frank and flossy were the only ones to see. I think a book is definately in order.
