It was not safe to walk on campus today (no, not because of the snow that decided to grace us with its presence...although that was not something I enjoyed).
It's the BYUSA president elections this week.
*Dun dun DUUUUUUUNNN!!!* [horrified shriek]
Honestly, I admire people for wanting to get involved and all that jazz, but when you come up to me with your stupid flyer and get all up in my grill and ask me multiple times if I voted, then I'm not going to be a happy camper. There's a reason I'm listening to my iPod! It's to ward off people like you! I prefer to be stuck in my own bubble, thank you very much.
I did not have as bitter a day as that previous paragraph suggests. It's been pretty good. But really, that whole election thing? A little bit ridiculous.

Haha our elections were last week... and I'd feel the same way except for next year I WILL be that person. Haha this year it was all my friends running, so I have to be supportive :)
The mistake was that you chose a passive avoidance. If you're going to be listening to your ipod to avoid contact, you at least need to be singing out loud. Otherwise, people will not believe you are truly involved with your tunes, and therefore cannot be interrupted. For me, I made more frequent-than-usual calls as I walked across campus. It's a sure-fire way to avoid the guilt-tripping. I even voted! But I just like getting from point 1 to location B without being interrupted. Sometimes when that happens I totally forget where I was going and end up wandering aimlessly with no motive and direction so sometimes I just go visit my good friends the vending machines which actually make me feel rather icky sometimes so I think
You were SO anti-humans. hahahaha I'm dying.
